whats up...noob here
i just bought an 08 xb...looking to lower it. my question is will i be safe going with the df210's with the axis shine 19" with 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. if not what would work...thanks
Thanks Mike,
Axis Shine 19x8.5 are available in +35 offset or +45 offset. 35 will definitely not work with DF210's on the front. 45 offset would be the way to go for the front and might possibly need 5mm spacers. 9.5" rears are +40 offset, and would probably work fine, but I think the best thing would be some input from somebody who has used this combo of Axis Shines and DF210's already.
Recommended tire size would be 235/35 front and 245/35 rear.
The other option would be 19x8.5 +45 all around with 10mm spacers in the rear. That way you could rotate your tires. Recommended tire size would be 235/35.
NoLimitz, can you help out with some input? I know you're running 19x8.5 +38 front and 19x9.5 +38 rear with K-Sport coilovers.

There is no way a +35 will fit if you want to lower it at all. I am running a +38 and it is dead flush and I rub every now and then. The +45 is what I had on my tC and it tucked in there real nice. But doing the staggered look isnt really going for the full tucked. I would try and get atleast a 38 or 40 offset. I think you would be alot happier. I wish mine where a 40. I wouldnt have near the rear trouble that I have. Not that it is bad, but I have had to roll the fenders and shave the calipers down to get the 3m spacers out of there. So all in all a 40 would be the way to go if you can.
I hope this makes sense. I feel like I just rambled on and on. LOL

So NoLimitz,
Seeing everything you've written, does it seem like 19x8.5 @ +45 offset fronts with 235/35 tires and 19x9.5 @ +40 offset rears with 245/35 tires will work with no spacers?

Add a 1/2" of width to +35's and it's all over when it comes to rubbing.
scion619, I did see you're running stretched tires with 215/35 up front and 225/35 on the rear, which work, I'm just not a fan of the look myself. Nothing wrong with it, just not my cup of tea.

Not a bad way to spend $2500 + on just the wheels.
