Default Keeping my stock tires - Cornfused about wheels...

OK so I ordered new wheels from NTB and they came back with the wrong bolt pattern. NTB was blaming American Racing, but I'm not sure they even know since the 2008's are so new.

I don't want to let them screw this up again so I'm looking for help on size and order my own. I'm just switching out the existing tires. Will 16x7 work even though the existing wheels are 16x6.5?

And I have seen a couple of answers on bolt pattern. 5x100 or 5x114.3 or is it really 107.95?

Default Thanks! You seem to know yer stuff

What wheels did you put on? I'm new to custom wheels and I'm nervoous bout making a mistake since the wheel place couldn't even get it right. Is the offset a big concern? What should I be looking for there - 43?

thanks for your help

I got mine from Discount tire. They are 16" Mb Classics. Yes the offset is a big deal. the stock offset is I believe 43. you should stay within 38-45 depending on the size of the wheel. I think mine is a 40 offset

Default Need recommendation on Run Flats

Will take delivery of 2008 xB black sand pearl on May 23rd. Told dealer to mount 18 inch Montegi FF7 flat black 5 lugs with "Run Flat" technology tires.

What is opinion of this forum for possible "Run Flat" tires and sizes?
What is maximum width [235 or 245 or 265 or 275] that will operate in wheel well?
--Leaning to Pirelli PZeroNero M&S RFT 245/40HR18 set, but unsure if that width tire will fit without moding wheel well.....what does the forum say?
--Is there a "Run Flat" Michelin Pilot ZP tire that will fit?

the white one towards the bottom looks sooo frigin hot. I have come to the conclusion that the new xB only is acceptible with a decent drop a lip kit all around, tint and some decent wheels, but not chromes ~ /shudder/~
