Default 16 inch OEM rims --other Toyota/Lexus rims

I have the stock 16 inch rims and looking for options (lexus or toyota rims) to replace my current steel wheels.

Has anyone researched what rims can be swapped onto the xB2?

Are there any other brands that match up well?

Yes. There are quite a few options.

The stock xB wheels are 16x6.5, 5x114.3mm bolt pattern, 60.1mm center bore (please double check this one), and an offset of 45. I have the 16" optional alloys, so the steel wheels might have an offset of 42 (anyone?).

The 5x114.3 bolt pattern is very popular with Toyotas, as is the 16" size. Camry rims will probbaly give you the most choices. Also look into Avalon rims (don't know if they ever had 16s though). I don't know if Lexus still uses 16s but their older models do. If you want to step up to 17s or even 18s look into IS, ES, GS, SC, and maybe even LS wheels. I'm sure all the specifics are a few mouse-clicks away, so that should get you started. Good luck.

Keep in mind that the Lexus wheels all came on cars with 6 and 8 cylinder engines that develop more torque and horsepower. I've seen some nice Lexus wheels, but they usually weigh a lot, which will negatively affect acceleration and MPG on our 4-bangers.

If you want to see what might work regarding fitment with our xB's, find out the spec's of the wheels you're interested in and plug them into the calculator/comparer.

http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

Keep in mind that our stock wheels are 16"x6.5" with +45 offset, and the tires are 205/55x16". Our bolt pattern is 5x114.3, as stated above. Our hubs are 60.1mm, so anything larger can usually be adapted with hub centric rings.

Stock weight is approximately 22# for tire and 22# for steelie = about 44# total at each corner, if you care about that.

Have fun playing with the calculator/comparer!

Cionide - Have you verified those stock wheel and tire weights? I've been trying to find this info out to help me with my 18' wheel and tire combo and could not find it anywhere. If what you listed is accurate it opens my selection considerably.
Thnx - Bill

I'm not going to search the whole SL website, but I know I've seen others post it as well. Here's just one:
