Go with 235/35-19 tires, and get something with a lip protector like Falken 452's.
I think the tire and wheel calculator we all use will help you understand how the changes from stock may or may not work, and what the resultant changes will be:
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp?postId=906
Keep in mind that the stock wheels are 16"x6.5" with +45 offset, and the tires are 205/55x16".
Have fun playing with the calculator/comparer!

for your set up i would be causious of 225/40 its about an inch taller than mine and it might not fly with nf's. might want to switch over to 225/35, good luck and post pics when its all done

No LImitz is running 19x8.5 front +38 offest, 19x9.5 Rear +38 offset, , Hankook V104 Tires, 235-35-19 front, 245-35-19 rear; and he's on K-Sport coilovers.
If you want to drop it as low as the DF's you should be fine, but I would still go with 235/35 tires. Why get 8.5" wide wheels, and put 225 tires on them, unless the stretched tire look is your goal.
I personally went with the NF's because my xB is a daily driver that sees 500 miles/week. I drive on crappy unmaintained California roads, and didn't want to worry about bottoming out.

Nice price on those wheels, and I think the black will look great on the GRM RS5. I hope you know somebody up here that could pick them up and drive them down to you; 50% extra $$ for shipping sucks. I know some people have DF's and the 5-Axis lip kit, but I would definitely be worried about trashing the lip kit on DF's.

Nice! Hey you weren't in University Heights in San Diego last week were you? I saw an xB just very much like yours turn the corner from Park left onto Meade. It looked bada**. I was going to wave or something but I was on my bike so it wouldn't have made much sense.
