Default 245/40/18 Will They Fit?

HELP!! I am going crazy trying to figure out the best tire for my XB. As I said in my previous post i have 19"s and I am not happy with the ride. I am going to downsize. I have done some searching and 225/45/18's with a 18X8 and a 40 offset seems to work, however when I called my tire rep he said he has some sitting in the showroom that he could give me a great price and that they should work on my XB. They are 245/40/18's Dunlop Direzza DZ101's. I can get them for about $60.00 a piece which is a great price. Anyone have any experience with this size? Thanks guys in advance for the help.

If you go with a staggered set-up those will work fine on the rear, but they're a bit wide for the front. The fronts will rub with just about any drop. I haven't seen anybody successfully run anything wider than 235's on the front.
