Default Another '08 from LastLook Customs!!

We just did another xB for one of the local dealerships. Did a set of staggered 20's... 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear!!! Also sporting a set of TRD lowering springs.

Tires are 245/30/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear...

If you are in CT and interested in buying this car, its at Hoffman Scion in West Simsbury, CT..

Looks like at least one of the directional tires is on backwards.

are dealerships allowed to sell a fwd equipped vehicle with staggered wheels/tires on it?

i would think that it would have alot to do with liability issues.

Sounds like they are doing dealer (demo) cars, but I don't think liability would be a factor otherwise... it's true the car will track/behave differently, but that's true of wider tires or lowering springs all around anyways, which TRD/dealers offer already.

Staggered on a FWD aren't going to do too crazy much.... just get more understeer probably... despite not being "Functional" and producing a bit more understeer, I don't see any strong reason why it'd be a significant liability issue than sway bars, springs, or other TRD offered suspension modifications that effect handling in different ways (not always for the better)

As for the tires, they are NOT directional. I know they look like it, but they are not.

As for the liability, its not an issue.

45mm offset... There is a SLIGHT rubbing issue when the car was loaded in the back with TRD springs. With the wheel well lip rolled, it wouldnt be a problem. We are working on doing a 55 mm offset which will cure the rubbing issue but it will be a custom wheel.

obviously you aren't in CT so if you're thinking about putting some staggered 20's on your XB2 you don't have to go with 20x10!! that is huge. go for like a 20x9 and you won't have near the rubbing problems and won't have to worry about going with such a high offset.

If we brought them in about 5mm, they would be fine. Maybe even less than 5. They rub on the bolt for the inner fender in the rear..... Only when its loaded with stuff or if you hit a huge bump.
