Anyone have Honda rims on their 2nd Gen xB?
I got a steal on some 01 Prelude rims and I had them installed two weeks ago. I checked my tire pressure and its reading 30 psi. I usually run them at 35.
I tried putting air and could not get pressure over 31 for some reason. I'm gonna get a new tire pressure gauge mine might have to be retired.
I remember the tech telling me he was worried about TPMS on alloy wheels compared to steelies.

It's possible, but I doubt it. I remember an old forum member was going to run similar wheels because they were a bit lighter than the OEM steel wheels. However, I do not think he kept the car long enough to install said wheels.
Now on to your problem... certainly try a new tire pressure gauge. If this isn't the issue, it could be your compressor. It's kind of weird that the tires won't inflate past 31psi. The TPMS sensors could also be to blame but many of us, myself included, are running the OEM TPMS sensors in aftermarket aluminum wheels. I haven't had an issue.
Ever.
