Default Axis Wheels co. Xb setup

Talked to the manager about the wheels he installed on their company delivery van we have in the photo. He said they had TRD springs to drop it. The wheels were their Shine models in the sizes: front 19 x 8.5/+35, rear 19 x 9.5/+40. He said they had to put a 3mm spacer on because the grease cap on the Xb is rather large and would not clear the center cap. He said they are working on a new wheel cap. He also said they will be setting up alot of wheels for this vehicle, mostly in the 18" sizes. The tires were 235/35-19,265/30-19 khumos.

Thanks for that info. I was wondering the same thing as I struggle to decide which wheels to get for mine. It's interesting to hear that they are looking at more 18's since that is what I have been looking at.

I am trying to decide between a couple of Axis wheels and one other for my Classic Silver xB.

It will look different on my Silver but I like the Decades that toyotaisme did on his White xB. The 18's seem a little hard to find right now though.

I am also considering the Penta Hyper Black

I like the Axis wheels with the Maxis Lip deal.

I have looked at a few others like the TSW Kyalami Hyper Black

Just can't decide....

Those are nice. The spoke design is very similar to the Axis Penta. Nice selection of colors. I find it interesting that there are no 19's.

Anyway, I tried a few of the online retailers that carry Axis wheels with little success. I finally just called Axis directly to ask their advice. They hooked me up with Jacob who Steve at Axis says knows more about fitting wheels on 2008 xB than almost anybody at this point.

I said I was interested in the Axis wheels that do the same size tire stagger look (Maxis). Jacob said the Maxis wheels will not work with the 08 xB because the rear brake calipers are too big. Long story short, thanks to Jacob's expert advice and suggestions, I decided on the same setup toyotaisme has. At least my car is Silver so that I am not totally copying him.

I actually started out thinking 17" TSW Kyalami's and now here I am doing 19's.

Edit
Now I find out from toyotaisme that he changed the rear on his because the 19x9.5 hit when loaded in the back. I can't have that so I will be calling Jacob back. Looks like 19x8's all around.

We'll see how that goes.

Thanks to toyotaisme I will have my wheels&tires next week and no rubbing.

I called Jacob back this morning and let him know of the problem with rubbing on the rear with 19x9.5's and 265/35/19's that toyotaisme let me know about last night. Jacob went to work this morning, put the 19x9.5 wide Decades on the back of the Axis xB that has the Shines on it with the TRD springs to recheck clearances. He said in some situations it will rub unless the fenders are rolled. I did not want to roll them. I, like toyotaisme, want no situations with rubbing so we switched my order to 19x8 35 offset wheels all the way around.

Hope this helps somebody else in their quest for wheels.

Again I can't thanks toyotaisme enough for the help. Saved me a bunch of headaches.

why not keep the 9.5s, and just go with a slightly narrower tire -- 245/35 R19s?

Mainly because Jacob was doing actual test fitting wheels and tires on the Axis xB delivery vehicle and checking the actual clearances. He said there was no solution with the 19x9.5" wheel that completely eliminated rubbing without rolling the fenders. If the narrower tire was an acceptable fit for the wheel and cleared the fender he would have offered that solution.
