Before my final decision, any comments or opinions? So what do you guys think of this setup: 17x8 offset +15 (F), 17x9 offset +20 (R) with 205/45's all around or should i go with a 205/40's all around? Trying to get more feedback before i purchase my tires.
What kind of suspension will you be running?
I was running 18x9 et20 wrapped in 215/40/18s and rubbed on my DFs and a little bit on my NFs. Even after I got my fenders rolled, it will still rub if I had more than 1 passenger in the rear + a large bump. I don't think the problem was the offset, but more likely due to the Tanabe suspension. The coils are so soft, that even with plenty of finger gap, it would still rub my inner rear fender.
IMO, you could run 215/40s like I had before, but you just need stiffer suspension for the rear. I'm planning to buy some Tein coilovers, but I bet you could just replace the XB's rear springs with another car's stiffer springs. I was thinking about buying some used Swift springs but I don't want to be the guinea pig for all that stuff, but I'm almost positive it would work.
