I'm looking into getting these PCD Variation lug nuts:

Closed Nut, Hex19 M12x1,5x34 Zinc.Pl.12M

So all I would need to do is figure out the mounting pad depth and use the 34mm height to calculate if I will have enough thread engagement?

Here's a pic of the dimensions:
Thanks. The overall length of the wheel nut has nothing to do with thread engagement. Since those "wobble" lug nuts require a minimum of 18mm thread engagement, you'll need longer wheel studs with any alloy wheels. My advice is to find a proper set of 5x114.3 wheels and use standard lug nuts.

My first set of gorilla lugz from discount laster 7 years and just replaced them last week cause the key lock one started to wear so I almost could'nt get it off....didnt want to risk that so went ahead and got a new set. I've never had issues with them coming loose so I think mine fit and have enough thread. I think the cost was 22.00

To all who are referencing this thread, please understand the importance. After finding two missing lug nuts, further inspection resulted in finding two broken studs. While removing the other 3 nuts I found only TWO threads engaged, and these wheels were bought and installed by a tire and wheel dealer!

What is not being addressed is changing the wheel studs. If you do not have 6-8 full turns you really need to install longer studs. They are readily available and can be installed at home, but you must have an understanding of how it is done correctlly to insure safety.
