Default Got a rim question; will it look good?

Want to know if I should get these sportmax in 17's. Right now I am rocking 502's I believe? I have an all black car for the most part. Had a chrome grill and painted ti glossy black along with the fake air ducts. Smoked the tails and got a rear-view camera and its black fro the most part. I want to rock some black rims preferably glossy black not matte black/time attack as some people call it. So just getting some opinions.....tell me what you think. And another thing im sticking with 17's for comfort so it is what it is.....if anyone else knows another good pair of 17's let me know.

What I am rocking now

What I want to get(and yea i stole the pics from someone on here; thanks whoever you are)

Go with the black ones man.

You have been on here since the beginning looking for the black.

Go with your first choice man.

What rims are those?

Your current wheels look awesome. I'd keep those unless you really want the all black look that bad.

What he said. I think your current wheels look way better. I think it would look kinda plain with the others.

BTW I like what you did with the grille. I was wondering how that type would look if it weren't billet. Might have to copy that one, stock grill is meh. Which one did you use?

if you are gonna go with flat black get at least chromed or colored lip. dat would kinda give it an accent or character. my wheels would look good ur ride.

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

He is going for the all black look.

Besides only about a million people have that look, do somethng different don't follow the crowd all the time. Be a trend setter not a trend follower!!!

Don't screw it up with shiny bits!!!

Alright so this thread actually blew up and I'm suprised. I'm going to try to answer as many questions as I possibly can.

If I could have a perfect wheel it would be a 18" wheel with a 45 series tire but unfortuntely it would rub. I am rocking a df tanabe drop 1.7 in the fron and 2.1 in the back I believe. So that leaves me with 16's and 17's. 16's have very little options for what i want and I already ahve a pair of enkei wdm's(gunmetal) and they look ok but i would have prefered glossy black. I HATE matte black.....I had a pair of flik's from edgeracing.com no offense to them but i thought it would look good plus they were super cheap on there so I was like uh.....ill try it. Bad....thats all I am going to say about that. My perfect wheel would be a azul 7 speed but I cant find it anymore. Its a 7 seven spoke glossy black rim and it would look good.....all the places i contacted said that they are on backorder and not expected for two months.....so that means see you in december.

I want to rock 17's not because they are 17's but because of a 45 series tire. I know too many people who have a 40 series and below and lose their tires all the time. I am not trying to be one of those people. Tires are also too damn expensive anything past a 40 series so I have my reasons. WIth that being said. I would love to have a set of grams light 57 optimise but $387 is a little out my range plus I would feel the need to remove that red stripe; its so damn ugly.....no offense to the manufacter but its just not my thing.

So I'm left with either a buying a couple of glossy black rims that are mainly 5 spoke(multi-spoke it what I want) or multi spoke rims that arent blacn and get them painted.

TO answer the other questions.......

To spring the ones I am rocking now are the 502's I believe; not sure I actually ordered a different set and these came and they kinda grew on me. THe ones I want I believe are discontinued but I found them on www.autornd.com . I say they are discontiued because I can't seem to find them in many online shops at all. Usually i buy all my sportmax rims now XXR at edgeracing because they are cheap shipping is fast and they never gave me a problem.

TO mikeinabox

I love the billet but it as a little too flashy with me. The rims that I have with the grille was nice but was too ballin for me. So the tails went black, painted the grill glossy black and now I just need a new set of rims that look good. I had a dealerpreps grill and after a while it started to spot a little so I wanted to change it.

To jeffrizzle
I have a tanabe df drop. It rides ok. Hated stock because I wanted to feel more road and have a better turn. I might end up with nf because I might want to oversize my tires to rock 18's.....I think it would look good.

TO JettAntonio
That basically what I want minus the 18's and the red lip thing. I HATE THAT.....no offense to you but not my cup of tea. Like I said its basically the same thing with the grams light.

PS....anyone want to buy my current rims? I am looking at you jeffrizzle.....

Maybe I'll disgrace the box with some ugly *** hot pink or hot green rims.......(evil laughter ensues)joking

I don't want to go preschool and argue this out, but ALL BLACK rims are very rare. I should know cause I have been looking for them for like 2 months just like Pannyman and there re only a few options out there. The majority of the black wheels are black and have that ridiculous red stripe on them.

I can't even find what I want in black so I'm probably going to get some powdercoated black, that is how tough it is.

opinions.........

my thought it i can rock these and if I get bored with them I can always paint them...like most people say its not hard to find an all black wheel that looks good but it is hard and i guess im going to have to settle for less. My have to rob some banks to get some j-lines........they peak my interest.....all well...let me hear your opinions on these.....

heres photoshop version of the wheels you presented, i think if you tinted everything, and got the black glossy ones, will turn out quite sinister/tight..
