18s lightweigt Kosei K1 TS



16s 12 lbs Motegi traklite

If i get the 16s I can use stock rubber for a bit. Which should I choose on a BSP XB?

 

I had Kosei's at one point. Don't recommend them. On for less than 3 years, and one cracked. No tire damage mind you, the rim just cracked.

 

Ouch, im wondering if the forged Motegi would hold up better. I am a bit reluctant to stay at 16" though.

 

If you can afford the Motegi, I say get them. Performance first.

Wow looks like the Kosei's have 2 air valves. Must be so u can put air in ur race car faster
JFWY. Why does it have 2 valve stems in the pic though?

 

Those Motegi's are sweet (and I might be interested myself if they came in 18"), but I can't see spending $1200+ on 16" rims just to get more use out of the stock tires.

My advise would be to paint your hubcaps black, and run with them until your stock tires wear out. Then get larger wheels with new tires.

17s with a 205/50/17 tire ...

2" drop with those wheels should be tight !
