Default I can't decide! Please Help!

Ok so I have been reading and searching through here for a while and it is giving me a headache. lol So please excuse my redundant question but I would really appreciate the help be fore a shell out $1000.00+ and get something that will give me nothing but headaches.

I have a Silver xB2 with the TRD 19" w/ Goodyear F1 235/35 UNFORTUNATELY a curb jumped out in from of my wife while driving and scuffed the wheels pretty bad . So now I am in the market for new wheels and tires.

What I can't decide is if I should get 19" with the same size tire or 20". I want to also put on the NF210s but I do not want them to rub if at all possible.

My understanding is if I stick with the same size 19" (19x8 +48 ) theN I should not have an issue with rubbing at all. Is this correct?

Also is there a 20" that will not rub with the NF210s? If so what would be the specs? Can I go with a 35 tire?

This is a daily driver >20,000 per year and I would like to stay under 1500.00 AFTER the price of the NF210s

Sorry for the n00b questions. I used the search but I was seeing so may different opinions of size width etc I was beginning to be more confused than I started. Thanks again.

how badly was the wheel scuffed? i bought a scuffed up set of used oem scion tc rims off ebay, took them to a local body shop that does powder coating, and had them powder coat the rims. when i got the rims back, they looked brand spanking new, not a sign of curb rash on them. price, about $100 dollars per wheel depending on how much prep work had to be done to each wheel. might also be effected by size.

much cheaper then shelling out all that money for a totally new set. for about 400 dollars plus the cost of removing and remounting and balancing the tires.

For a daily driver that sees 20k+ miles per year, I'd stay away from 20's. You'll have to worry about potholes, in addition to curbs. You could go with 20x8 +45 and 30 series tires on NF springs; but eventually you'll end up trashing the lips, and the smaller sidewalls will ride more harshly.

You are correct that if you stay with 19x8 +48 wheels & 235/35 tires you will be fine with NF springs. If you find 19x8 wheels that you like that are in the +40 offset range, you'll still be OK with NF springs, but you would want to drop down to 225/35 tires.

Post up links to some wheels you like, and I'll see what I can do to help you with fitment.

Unfortunately pretty bad she took a good lick. I have a feeling they are beyond repair and still look good.

I had a feeling after doing some reading that this would be the case. Of course I would like a decent ride. I will go with the 19"s

So far I really like these and think they would compliment the Silver color. I like how the wheels I have now sit pretty flush so I suppose the same specs would be good.

Also here are a couple more. Having a hard time finding ones in the price range that I like. So far the RPM 505's are my top pick.

TSW Thruxton
AVARUS AV4

I would also like to thank CIONIDE for the *Official Tanabe NF210 thread. Post'em up!* . It made my decision on which springs to get VERY easy.

Those RPM 505 mesh wheels you like are 19x8.5 +38 offset. I've seen a couple people run 19x8.5 +35 offset & 235/35 tires who rubbed on NF springs. If you end up getting those wheels you'll need to run 225/35 tires (stretched a little bit) to make sure you don't rub.

Also I wanted to see if anyone had any personal experience and recommendation with any of these tires that are <200.00?

Thank you.

Well I took it by my local shop and they said they can repair the wheels. 500.00 to fix all 4. I was surprised they were repairable. I also got my NF210's in today (yay). I am also putting new Falken FK-452's on. I should have the wheels fixed and springs on this week or early next week. I will post pics when it is done. :D

Thanks for everyone's help!!
