Can the wheel still get centered off the hub with the 5mm spacers, or is the centering hub too short and the wheel is centered off the lugs? I know your spacer is hub centered, I am interested in the wheel.

i'm actually looking for one that doesn't require extended lugs. plus, i really am looking for something more affordable. i ran a set of 15 mm spacers on my xa and it was overkill. with 5mm, i should be good. i just want to make the rears sit a bit more flush than they do now, or at least will when i put on my wheels tomorrow.

The xB lugs don't have any extra thread, IIRC. Even a 3mm spacer would need longer lugs for safety.

I was also going to look into spacers for the rear on my xB after getting rims. What all is involved with putting on the extended lugs? I would also like to know about centering with spacers...

those spacers are hubcentric. install is not difficult, but it is a pain if you know what i mean. my friend did it for me at the shop and he messed up and broke a sensor or something and i had to have a part replaced. the second time was the charm. he did it right and i used them for a year or so with zero problems.

i was hoping i could use some cheap $20 ebay spacers and get away with it, but i'd rather be safe than sorry. i'll have the techs check it out for me and see what suggestions they can come up with.

The studs are mounted in the hub. As long as there is enough room behind the hub, you can bang the stock ones out with a hammer. If there isn't enough room behind, you'd have to take the hub off first, unless you can remove whatever is behind them. You'll most likely have to take off the caliper and disc also. Then you put the new stud into the hub. You have to use a lug nut against something to pull the stud into the hub all the way. Some how you'd have to find out the length of the stock studs and find a compatable replacement that's longer.

I had to replace 5 of them on my wife's Camry. Had new tires put on and they cross threaded 5 of the lug nuts. 5k miles later when I went to rotate the tires, the lugs backed off about half way then snapped the stud. They're not really that hard to replace, but it can be time consuming depending on what all you have to take apart.
