Offset for 20's
I'm looking at getting 20x8.5 or 20x9.5's soon. I was wondering what offsets will work and what tire size I need. I want the rims to sit as flush to the fenders as possible. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have 20x8.0 front and rear. I have plenty of room in the rear, but the front only has about 10mm of clearance between the tire and splash sheild at full lock. I am running a 235-30-20 tire on all four corners.

I've seen a guy with a 35 offset on a 20x8.5 and they sat flush with the fender. I think if you go any more negative you'll be sticking out past the fender and you may need some rolling. I think anywhere between 35 and 42 is ok.

I know someone on the boards is running 20x8.5 ET 35 and 20x10.5 ET 35 with no problems I believe. Here is the link: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...263&highlight=

rubbing isn't racing
As you can see, his car sits pretty high. There is a significant gap between the top of the tire and the fender lip. My SRT had a similar gap. When going down the highway, each time I went from a high to a low spot the fender lip cut into the sidewall of the tire. Of course, the more weight (people) I had in the car, the worse it was. Because of this experience, I didn't go crazy when choosing wheels and tires. Although it may look cool, I know the problems it can cause.

low rider
Your xb is super low and it looks cool that way. Maybe you can raise it a little and cure the problem. With my other car, I had to raise It to near stock ride height to keep it from rubbing. I had also tried adjusting the damping, but then it rode like a pogo stick.
