question about rims
Ok when I bought my xb, it was in stock at the dealer with the stock steel wheels on it, I went and test drove, and liked it so I went in to talk about options, I picked the 19" trd wheels , and lowering kit along with other options. I picked the car up in two days and drove it for about three weeks with the stock rims. then I took it back to have the trd's put on along with the lowering springs. Now this just hit me like an idiot cuz i've had the car since august. Sould they have given me the stock rims since the car was in stock at the dealer with those on it . Cuz when I got it lowered they gave me the stock lowering springs back.
If so what can i do about getting them back, cuz I dont see any deduction on my paperwork for the dealer taking those rims.

at the dealer if the customer does not request the old parts the tech that does the work is alowed to keep them.
this goes for just about anything, radios, rims, tail lights, seats, you name it.

I work at a dealership and we are supposed to return the parts back. If the customer doesn't ask for them back, then we should hold on to them just in case the customer returns asking for them back.
Go back to the dealership and demand your parts back!!!

You won't find out until you ask; and the worst thing that can happen is they say "NO", in which case you're right back where you are today.
They are also more inclined to help you if you do all your service there, and if you have given any referrals that have bought a car at the same dealership.

ok I will give it a try tomorrow. I have to go there tomorrow anyways, I have to show them the paint job that was not done on those rims correctly, the gunmetal gray is staring to fade on the face of the rims, and around the lugnut holes. it should be under warranty i hope, I have 12,500 on the car but already had about 2500 on it ( i do alot of driving) prior to getting them put on. so i should be ok i hope. I took them to my body guy and he told me the paint was not laid on them correctly.

Umm its been almost 4 months and now you thought about getting your old parts . Hopefully you get them back because they are yours, but I seriously doubt they will hold them for you that long.......
