which size
i wanna get 18x8.5 rims, but what tire size would be better? i have trd lowering springs so idk if the 235's will rub or not. i dont want the tires to look to small, but i dont want to rub either.
225/40r18
225/45r18
235/40r18
225/40r18

With 8.5" wheel width and TRD-dropped, unless you stay with > +40 offset, I believe you're going to rub a little with vertical side walls and +2 up-sizing (235/40/18 or 225/45/1
. Get confirmation from SL experts but, if you go with +25 to +37 offsets, you'll need to stretch to 225/40 or 215/something.
Find the wheels you like first, then see what sizes & offsets are available to get the stance you want. That will then determine what size tires you can run. You can always have the fenders rolled if you need a little more clearance for the tires. Trying to find a wheel based on specs first, then finding a style you like to match those specs is doing it backwards, and will be extremely difficult. If the wheel you like doesn't come in specs that will fit the stance you want, then keep looking. This is the much easier & satisfying way to find what you want.
20x8.5 +38 on Eibach ProKit with no rubbing, shouldn't rub on TRD springs either. A little big for my taste, but still livin' large.
