When you get aftermarket rims what happen withs the sensors from the factory tires? Can they be installed in the new rims?

yeah you can swap them over to the new rim.
if you dont your tire pressure light on the dash will blink then stay on.
just wont have any notice if your tires are low on air. Youll have to keep checking them.

The OE tires and TPMS sensors can both be moved to aftermarket rims, as long as the rims accept TPMS sensors (not all rims do). Bottom line is the new rims have to be TPMS compatible.

So even with the difference in air pressure the sensor will not work right if the rim is to say to be conpatible because low pro tires seem to have differen air preasure so then its no point to put the tpms sensor on if its still gonna stay on imma get 18x8.5 rims

As far as I understand it, that you can use the sensors with different size wheels and pressure, you just have to reset the computer for the new tire pressure. Scion uses the same sensors in the 16", 17" and in the TRD 19" wheels so size doesn't matter.

There are instructions in the manual on how to set the pressure for TPMS...very simple.
