TPMS Rebuild Kit
I'm looking at buying new wheels from discounttire.com and when I click the "get total price" button to get a quote, it shows that a TPMS Rebuild Kit is going to be another $25 or so extra. Question is, do I need it? Will my OE TPMS Sensor be able to transfer to a different set of wheels without any modifications?
Yeah they should work fine on most wheels. You'll just have to take your old and new wheels to a tire shop to swap the sensors. The place I bought my wheels from did it for free.
Thanks. Also, are there special sizes or measurements needed for things like aftermarket lugs or whatever? If so, what size lug nuts does the xB2 take? I've also heard of hub sizes too. I'm lost right now.
Here's info on hub centric rings from an old thread:

More in depth explanation of what hub rings are and what they do:
Your wheel has a, more or less, female hub and your vehicle has the male hub. Ideally you want the hub on your wheels to fit barely over the hub of your vehicle. (within .01mm) If they don't fit this tight you can actually torque them down off center which will cause a vibration and can lead to other problems while you drive. There is no industry standard for hub size. Scion uses a different hub size for each of their vehicles. Honda uses different sizes and so does Ford and Chevy for that matter. Most after market wheel companies want to make their wheels so they fit as many vehicles as possible so they build their hubs large enough to fit the largest vehicles hub. They then include or sell hub rings to fill the difference if your vehicles hub is smaller. EX: Konig uses as 73.1mm hub size for most of their passenger wheels you would need a 73.1-60.1mm hub ring for your 08xb.
I hope this helps and doesn’t confuse you more.

Thanks CIONIDE, helped alot! BTW, do you know of any good brands and places where I can pick up a good set of lugs? I'm leaning towards putting one of those loud-colored lug sets on.
I work at discount tire, and I can't tell you how many time's we've seen leaky TPMs when someone decides to cheap out on the rebuild kits. It's usually $5/wheel. A small price to pay to avoid a blowout. It's a new rubber grommet, retaining nut, valve core, and shiny new valve cap!!! If you're near a store, go see a salesman.. they'll explain everything including hubrings and what new lug nuts are needed. As cionide explained, most use a conical or acorn seat, and there are different diameter pockets on the wheel, therefore there are different lugs to fit. All DT/AT will have what you need...
Yeah, I just wanted to know about the kit, I'm def not gonna cheap out and risk leaks. The wheels I bought come with the centric rings for free and I want to get colored tuner lugs so I told the guy that helped me at the store if it'd be alright and he said it'd be fine so he took out the other lug nuts that come with the wheels at an additional charge. I just wanted to make sure there was no other variation in choosing lug nuts.
