Default Tuner lugs

Mighty swap out my 19's back to stock steelies for the winter . Can I use my tuner lugs instead of the stock lugs .

As long as they are 12x1.5 and conical seated yeah.

And steel. Aluminum nuts on steel wheels isn't optimal.

But the Honda kids always use their tuner lugs on their steelies at my school!? Lol...

serious question, how come aluminum lug nuts aren't optimal for steel wheels?

The steel is harder than the aluminum and will ultimately mushroom and scar the crap out of the aluminum. Then if you use them with the aluminum wheels, they could possibly gall.

Another possibility is the fact that electrolysis could occur between the steel wheel and the aluminum lug nut making removal of the lugnut very difficult. We have to use plastic spacers on our buses with the Alcoa 19.5" wheels so they don't bond to the brake drums. Especially with winter time and salt and magnesium chloride.

However, I feel the former is the correct answer.

Dam thanks for the info . Will use Crome steel ones . Had cheap alloy valve stem caps once . Couldn't get them off after the winter & salt , bonded like a weld .
