Default Whats an aggressive offset that works with a stretched tire?

Will I have problems with a 17x8 et35 wrapped in 205/50/17? If I got staggered, will I be okay with a 17x9 et35 in the rear?

How about 17x8 et20 and 17x9 et20 on a stretched tire? That would be prime choice if I could make it work.

That's stretchin' it pretty far.

Seriously though, here's 17x9 +35 with 225/45 tires on DF springs:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=231000

The 17x8 +35 /17x9 +35 combo would be fine.

You might be able to pull off the 17x8 / 17x9 +20 offset, but I have no idea what size tires would stretch & work w/o rubbing since you're dropped on DF springs. My guess would be something like 205/50 for the front and 225/45 for the rear.

That's the corniness I've ever heard you CIONIDE... HAHA.
Based on those offsets, I think it will work! Woo-hoo! And, I think those tire sizes should be dead on--thanks for suggesting the rear size.

Inner Clearance: 28mm more (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)
Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 2mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel)

Yea, I new that first joke was really bad, but sometimes I can't help myself even when I know it's just wrong.

I always thought the Racing Harts looked really good on your BSP. Have you found another wheel you like better?

I'm pretty sure you would be fine with that. As long as the rear tire has a bit of a stretch to it and you don't have too many chubby honies in the back. I know on the VSC forum, there's some guys running a 225/35R17 on 9" wides.

I think you'll get a bit of poke with the 20mm offset.

I'm actually trying to throw some BBS RS on this ride in 17s with a nice polished lip. I just went to the rim shop and wasn't feeling the 17x8 et 35 they had in stock. In fact, the shop had over 20 sets of BBS RS's to choose from, but all the offset were too high or in the wrong bolt pattern. Here are my options....

Option 1 - Buy a set of 16" BBS RS and have the lips and barrels custom made to a 17" rim. The only original part they'd use would be the faces, but I could choose the exact offset and lip size I wanted. If I go this route, the stepped lips would be as big as I want, but not as beautiful as a slanted BBS RS lip IMO.

Option 2 - Buy the 17x8 and 17x9s with offset +20. The lips won't be as big as option 1, but the lips would have a gorgeous slanted lip.

Here's kinda of the look I'm going for...

Front 17x9.5s et55 w/34mm adapter, final et21
Rear 17x9.5s et55 w/52mm adapter, final et3

Here's a 15x8 with 2" lips...

I love your thought process! The biggest question I run into is the fat lip vs. the tuck. I like seeing both, but I think the +20 offset you're talking about for the xB2 won't allow the deep tuck that I see in those other pics. Maybe you need a 3 degree or 5 degree camber kit to pull it all off. I can't find the link I'm looking for, but I think Stick_1nz (or something close to that) has one available.

You're right CIONIDE... I think these cars are pulling off this look based largely on how slammed and tucked they are. For me, I want to remain on my stock shock and DF210 combo, so I'm not sure how I'm gonna pull this off.

I just found a guy selling 17" BBS RS faces with a 5x114 bolt pattern, so if I could get those, then I'm going to see if the rim shop can turn those into 18s with a big lip. I'll update you guys and the rest of the offset experts when I know more.

I know what you mean, bro. The slanted lip is pretty hot. A debatable subject as far as lips go on the VSC forum is stepped vs. smooth. I think smooth is a bit cleaner.

BTW, wheels I'm in love with at the moment.

That's the thing, though... With a forged, or even a 2 or 3 piece wheel, replacing the actual barrel isn't all too expensive.

Hey Vegan, what kind of rims are these? Those are pretty sick. And what's the VSC forum you keep yappin' about?
