Default Wheel Choices

Hey all!! New Scion owner, first post. Thanks in advance for helping me out. 2015 xB (Silver) Needs new tires and I thought I'd throw an inexpensive set of wheels in to the mix. Keep in mind, it's a stock height daily driver, not a hot rod and I don't want it to rub and/or wear ____e out much faster than it will. Nor do I want to kill my mileage too bad. This is my bee bop around town, look at jobs, check on work crews etc car and I will hand it down to my daughter in 3 years. Have narrowed my wheel choice down to two wheels. Can you have a gander at the new possible tire size and offsets and tell me which is more preferable, Pros and Cons etc?

OEM Wheel and Tire : 205/55/16 Width:6.5 Offset: 45

New Tire Size: 225/45/17

Drag DR9:17x7,Offset 40mm
Drag DR19:17x7.5, Offset 45mm

Of the two I would go with the 17x7.5 +45 setup. It'll keep the tire centered on the same track width you have now. Also a 225 is a little wide for a 7" rim width, you'll have a better contact patch with the 7.5" wheel.

Great site for modeling this sort of stuff is www.willtheyfit.com You can enter in all the info and visually see what the differences will look like.
