I havent installed HID on the xD but I have for the tC and xB. The hardest part of a HID install is finding a good place to mount the ballast. I suggest you find a good firm spot and mount the ballest with zipties...that is if you dont want to drill holes onto your ride.

Yeah the hardest part is finding a good place to mount the ballasts. I ended up zip-tying it to the area near the upper grill. Doesn't rattle =]

It really is just plug-n-play so you shouldn't have a hard time at all.

Yah, It's very easy and truly plug 'n pray..... :-)

The hardest part of the whole thing is the removal of the rubber cap behind the factory headlamps. Once you pass that stage, it's childsplay. Everything you use is plugged back in the new. just unplug, and plug. NE1 can do it. Get the DUAL BEAM xeons, not the one that keeps one halogen bulb. the halogen that SHOULD be the BRIGHTS are dimmer than the Low Xenons...
I put the combo one in and eventually changed to the Dual beam with the magnetic high-low actuator type. I love them!!! the traffic signs almost jump out to you from a very distant approach. You see EVERYTHING at night and the color temp I chose were the 6000. The second hardest thing was to wait for their arrival in the mail !

I have HID's installed...IMO, it is much easier if you remove the front bumper, especially when hiding the ballasts...There are really no good places to hide them properly and I hate when things look cluttered...Go to this thread to see where I hid mine...Perfect spot, held on by 3M tape...

Hope this helps...

That's what I did, fuse box and all The best way is really to remove your bumper like Yelosub said, but some people may not be that adept.
