Ok I have 2012 XD do I use the hair dryer method, or does my year of scion have pins behind emblem for front and back? Would you use same method to remove front emblem as you would back? Last question is, should I sand the emblems before painting, and what grain of sanding is best for it?

 

what color you planning to paint it? You can just use a heat gun or hair dryer.

just plasti dip it... It comes in a spray can and you can just spray it real fast... much easier then pulling it and having to 3m it back. it's about 6 bucks a can and you can get it at home depot or some place similar. Youtube plasti dip and see for yourself.
