xD Mirror Turn Signal LED Swap! Should work on New xB also!
Knocked this out today Was cake compared to the tC!!! And also, I do sell the LEDS on my website. They are Superflux LEDs. If you find this guide helpful, then it would be nice if you keep your business with me!
Also the white Superflux 4 chip LEDs I sell are WICKED looking! They look like 6-8K HID's. They are such a pure white they almost have a hint of blue. Very cool and high end looking
Here is the order page for the LEDs:
http://www.garage1217.com/album1_025.htm
You can also send in your circuit boards from the signals and I can swap them for you,
Charge for the pair is $15.00 shipped back to you.
To note, Only white turn signals will go over OK in most places. Red, Blue and Green turn signals will most likely get you pulled over and a ticket.
First, pull off your mirror cover, it will pop off. Just go slow and make sure it does not fly out of your hands when it finally lets go!
Take out the 3 Phillips screws that hold the turn signal in place. Then unplug the turn signal.
Pry open the end cap on the turn signal with a small flat blade screwdriver. After it is taken apart, you should have the following.
Next, Bend the pins so you can remove the white plastic backing. De-solder the 4 pins for each led with a solder sucker and soldering iron.
The circuit board is marked / shows polarity of the LED.
Solder in the new LEDs, again make sure to match the polarity on the circuit board!
You will see a little notch on the Superflux LED, match that notch to the drawing on the circuit board.
Once finished, re-assemble everything and plug it in! Your Good to Go!

Forgot to add, these are considered 1/2W leds now!! Also are rated for 140 degree dispersion over the normal 120 degrees. The max MCD rating is 50,000. Nominal power input is 3.6V!
Price is $1.25ea!! Cheaper than the old versions as I worked out a stellar deal on a LARGE QTY!

The new ones will not be in stock until late this week / early next week, I received yours last night. Want me to hold them until then? The current ones are as bright as led flashlights so no worries You will see the light on the walls on the sides of the road when your blinkers are on haha. These new ones just take bright to a new level!

The first photo shows...
- Standard single chip superflux on the left
- 2 chip superflux in the middle
- New 5 chip superflux on the right
I ran them at 3.2VDC and put a peice of paper over them to show the brightness difference between the three. You can see the new 5 chip is a monster! To the eye it is pure white. The older 2 chip were a purpleish white.
