There ya go, that last post is starting to really show it's true color! Looks good, wheels nice and clean, not tacky although white doesn't appeal to me on that color for some reason.

I bought mine in Magnetic Gray but that's a great blue imo. Great pics.

Default "Cylon" xD

Well, got a couple pics posted other places on SL, but here's a few for this thread, since it's most appropriate!... a full photo spread is at the link in my signature.

The white and red "Scion" and "xD" body graphics on the sides and rear are made of Reflective vinyl, for a nice glowing effect at night when passing in front of other car's headlights!

My little "Cylon" xD:

lol, Here's a fun update!

After too many people on numerous Scion forums told me I needed one, I broke down and installed a red "Cylon Eye Scanner"
behind the Billet Grill of my NMB Cylon xD. Silly, but fun nonetheless...

Here's the link to a video of the scanner in operation, including that awesome Cylon sound:

And a photo of my 'D at an area halloween show:

Well, I had to cheat a little because I put some fairly large 9-pin molex connectors on both ends of the the ribbon cable going to the control box as quick disconnects - I would have had to drill about a 1" hole in the firewall to get those big connectors through!... I actually ran the cable behind the driver-side fender and through the driver's door opening, so the rubber door seal closes on the wires. But heck, it's a flat ribbon cable, so it really doesn't matter much. I just wrapped a couple layers of electrical tape around the cable right where it goes through the seal, to help protect it a little.

I already had a two-conductor #10 power cable with inline fuses for my Ham Radio running through the door that same way, directly to the battery, with the radio mounted face-up on the door of that "convenience trough" on the dash by the driver's left knee. I monted the remote control box for the Cylon lights to the bottom of the radio with velcro tape, so I just tapped into the connector on the power cable near the back of the radio to get power for the controller, since it doesn't draw that much power.

I do plan to actually drill a decent-sized hole in the firewall at some point though, and put a big rubber grommet of some kind in it, to eventually run all my accessory cables through, but I'll wait until warmer weather next year to do that, now...

Hey, I really like the white wheels on a blue xD - Penn State Colors, haha! (PSU Alumni!) But I couldn't really put white wheels on my car because I have too much shiny chrome/polished trim on my xD... so I went with Machined Black wheels instead...

unfortunately I hit a massive pothole over the winter and destroyed one of my R1 wheels, and I couldn't get a replacement anywhere, they're on back-order at the factory until late summer... So, I bought new Katana wheels that look almost identical, but with machined lips instead of chrome lips like the R1's had (I think I like the look of the Katanas much better anyway!)

Here's a few more update photos of my 'D with the Katana wheels, and the last two pics show off my new color-matched shark fin antenna... (the second antenna in the back is for my Ham Radio). Lol, my xD is a little "busier" looking than most peep's scions, but then I'm not really trying for a clean look!...

(cueing up the theme from "Jaws") dah-dah dah-dah dah-dah.... uh, it will help me slice through heavy traffic on the way work, perhaps??

lol... well, looks better than having two antennas sticking up in the back like in my other photos above it...

Ah, that's right, Chels has one of those shark fins too, almost forgot!
