2008 xD Engine Removal Help..
So the way that I had my Cold Air Intake set up during the last storm my car sucked up water hydro locking my engine. What a hard lesson to learn. Anyhow I got a new motor and I have it all ready to be pulled out of my 2008 Scion xD
I have removed everything as far as electrical, hoses, the seven bolts on the engine transmission bell housing there is something that is holding it together what am I missing I need to get this motor out.
Please help I've been working at this all day.

In my experience taking off the transmission it look a lot more wiggling than I expected. Is there a gap at all right now? If you've got any gap you probably just need to wiggle harder. If there is no gap you might have a hidden bolt somewhere.
Yes there is about a inch of gap between the transmission and engine in the front and bottom do I have to unbolt anything like flywheel or clutch or the front axcels. Do I need to remove the power steering pump too. I'm almost betting that I just need to wiggle it loose.. but I don't Wana mess something up.. I have the hole front of the car removed so I can lift it out with the cherry picker
Uh my experience was taking off the transmission. I don't think there's enough room to move the engine far enough away to clear the transmission shaft. If you take off the axles the whole thing can come out as one unit.
I got stuck on the same gap for hours, was pulling as hard as possible on driver's axle or something and it wouldn't pop off. My friend came over said this is fine, gave it a massive wiggle and the transmission fell off into my waiting milk crate. Since all the weight is on the output shaft you may have to wiggle walk it off there with some quick jostles.
