sup guys...i need help trying to figure out what this noise is...
Not too long ago i started hearing this noise coming from around the tire/engine (driver side, dont know about passnger side) that sound like there is somethiong loose.So far i can only hear the noise when im on 1st and 2nd gear BUT only when i take the 1st or 2nd gear to aroubnd 2000-3000 rpm and let go the gas or when im taking off. I dont know if has to do witht he shock since i lowered my car and havent put sport shock im still running with OEM shocks and Tein S tech springs. thnaks ahead guys and hopefully you can help me.

Im not sure bro, im not rlly good with sounds since my enlgih is not at 100% , but it sounds like there is a little piece of metal loose..maybe is not a piece of meral but sounds like that...it sounds like a clicking noise...mah bad for not giving a good explanation

 

Loose shock? Loose sway bar link? Can springs be installed incorrectly that would cause that noise?

My s10 had a metallic rattle and it was the upper shock mount bolts had untorqued and the shock would wiggle enough to make a noise when the weight would transfer on/off the front suspension or bumps

 

Im gonna have all that cheked, but i wanted to ask here to see if somebody had any idea what it is...but yea im gonna have all those parts cheked...and im gonna get tokico sport shocks.

 

I'm going with shock or control arm.

 

did you cut the bump stops when you installed the springs? if you didn't cut them, then you might be "riding the shock". essentially it means that your shocks are fully compressed

 

The rear or front? Any bounce from the springs?

lol? nah i havent moved the engine to the back of the car...and im not sure if hey cut the bump stp, i told the guy that insalled them for me if he knew he hd ti cut hem he said yes, so now tha another tin i have to be looking into, so many thing that could be givingme that noise...anyways im soon getting new tokico shocks....thak for all your relies guys, ow at least i have notiong of what i might b loking to.
