man tc guys dont know how limited the aftermarket is for the xd. this is the only in cabin short shifter we have http://www.nonstoptuning.com/pShiftNST.htm and im not sure if it will actually shorten the shifter any. ive thought about chopping the stock shifter and getting it rethreaded but havent done it

My first post was serious. Hack it off and re-thread it. Shouldn't be very difficult. You probably won't even need to pull it out of the car.

I cant really judge cuz I have been tempted to do the same but I heard that it really throws off the shift or something about it not being safe. Can anyone clarify?

i dont know how it would be unsafe considering your just cutting the shifter down. pretty sure its not gonna cause you to lose control or anything. i dont know about the shifting part though and what it would do to that. get a used one, try it out and see what happens

the in-cabin ssk doesnt shorten the actual shifter. just the throws. i considered this but i would think it would be awkward to shift with how the xD makes you sit up. eventually ill get a engine bay ssk and just have really shirt throws.

its true. lol because the sit we have in xD is higher than the shifter. not like the tc its level the sit or a little bit higher the shifter make you comfortable....

idk if you get what i mean guys lol!!
