Injen Cold Air Intake:Deck port breather modification
So i got this idea one day after seeing all of the Honda's with those air intake funnels and supra's and whatnot taking a headlight out to bring air directly to the intake.
Except I chose to make it a little more practical for being a daily driver by using a "screw-in" deck port for a boat instead of a plastic funnel.
First i traced the outline of the inner diameter of the port cover and cut the hole out with a dremil tool
Tharrr she blows!
then i cut the holes for the bolts that hold the port on. (I know the hole sucks, i don't care because it isn't visible with the port on)
here's the inside view
After I cut the hole, I put the port on and pushed the bolts through. Then I made two circular cutouts from a black mesh grill i had and pressed the bolts through the grill so that when i tightened the nuts down it would secure the grill. Just to make sure it was waterproof I used marine sealant around the interior perimeter of the hole and around the edge of the grill after i tightened everything down.
Next I installed the Fujita high-flow filter

It's working great. whenever I think it's going to rain I just screw on the cap and it keeps the intake nice and dry. i notice better response at higher speeds and overall about a 2-4mpg increase to my average. Before this I was averaging 31mpg, now i'm up to between 33 and 35.
