Most of the good stuff will most likely be hitting stores before summer. It takes a few months to make the kit, make sure it works, work out kinks, and then send it off to be produced in massive amounts.

I have a feeling it will be longer than that..

New car..New motor.. Kind of have to start over. Not to mention because sales arent that high right now for the Xd, theres less of a push.

Keep in mind the main reason there are so many parts for the xa is because it fits the xb as well.

There parts from the Yaris that fits on the xD so there are those parts you can get and have it possibly work with no alterations. I know of a few body kits that will be out before June.

In case you guys dont know, the xD has the same motor as the new corolla and matrix. So if thats not a reason for companies to produce some turbo kits i dont know what is.

The matrix is a Corolla...its called the Corolla Matrix. Yes, they both have the same 1.8L and both have the optional 2AZ which is the same block thats used in the Rav4, Camry, Solara, and tC. That 2AZ motor is a 2.4L. The Yaris has a 1.5L which is the 1nz motor which was found in the Toyota Echo, then bumped up to the xA and xB, and then finally the yaris inherited it.

Parts are easy, quality fab work is hard to come by. Anyone can buy the parts, but assemble them to be reliable takes skill.

Default Massive amounts...

Not quite yet...

Before $4 gas, the xD wasn't as popular.

Now folks are buying it because it is in the high mileage class (Fit / Yaris / xD)

No telling whether this will eventually be called a tuner's car. It's being market as the "Urban Cruiser" in Europe - a sort of micro SUV.

I don't see REAL stage two add-ons until spring of 2009 - maybe not even then.

Look at the sleepy forums - there isn't much demand yet...

It's funny that people keep saying there's not much demand for these cars, yet from what I read, they can't keep them in stock?
So who's BS'ing whom?

The demand from modifiers isn't as great as those of the tC owners or xB owners. Sure the cars are flying off the lots, but most of the people buying them are people not interested in modifiying them.
