I am going to check out a 2009 RS2.0 xD this weekend. It has just over 100,000 miles and from the photos seems in pretty good shape. Normal scuffs in the paint, the interior looks nice,
but the owner said the stereo has power but doesn’t play. Seller said it needs to be reprogrammed by a dealer. It looks like the original head unit but unsure from the photo. It sounds a bit off but I will ask more in person.

Has anyone else run into a similar stereo problem? I know I could replace it but maybe there is an easier fix?

Sounds like a pretty generic excuse for a deck with known issues. As an audiophile.. It's better just to swap out the stock radio anyway, especially on a 2009 so you can take advantage of better quality sound and newer features like Bluetooth and app radio, etc.

 

Well I don’t have to worry about it because it just sold.
