Default Add-a-Circuit question

Ok, so I know this is supposed to be the easiest thing to use, but of course, I'm having problems with it. I'm trying to tap into the clock/side mirror 7.5A fuse (later to find out it controls the radio, but anyhow) with a set of 6 led strips. All my wiring is fine (checked with a battery, lights light up w/ add-a-circuit attached).

My problem is I can't get the lights and the radio to work at the same time. What is the magic combo for the fuses? Do both have to be 7.5A in the A and B slot, or do they have to add up to and not surpass 7.5A? At one point I got the lights to light up, but the radio wouldn't work. Help is appreciated ASAP since my underdash is a mess!

edit: I did try a 7.5 in each slot, as well as a 2 and a 5 flipping it around, but no luck to get both to work.

Well, I scoured the web looking for an answer, and found that I'd need two 7.5's. After inspection, I noticed that both fuses were broken. Must have been when I tried to wrench them out of the impossibly tight slots. I'll attempt again when i pick up some more fuses. Hoping this is the key.
