Default amp insall question

my girlfried bought a new xD, the hot lava edition. she wants me to upgrade her stereo for her so i decided a small amp and a few 6x9 speakers will work. i have installed stereo before but i have a question. i am using the stock head unit because it says it has RCA outputs but i was wondering about the remote wire. is there a preset place for that or do i need to make one?

I'm talking out of my rear, because I don't have the upgraded head unit that has the RCA outs, but they designed it to be able to run an amp, to I would assume it has a remote wire. They're usually blue.

I installed an amp in my xD...There is no remote wire...No output on the stock head units is switched except for the accessory on and the radio antenna amplifier on, however once you switch to CD, SAT or iPod, it turns off.

i agree with tc-guy it's a solid blue wire (i'm pretty sure that the toyota harness the blue w/ a white line is the power antenna wire) if you accidently connect it to the wrong one you will notice that the subs only work when you are listening to the radio.

our speaker are 6.5 front and rear... stick with those sizes plus it's better sounding than 6x9.
