Default Heavy Duty Compressor question

Hi guys

I would like to purchase the following item -

Amazon Amazon

but i am concerned about blowing fuses. The item description states that the power port must have a 15 AMPERE rating. My 2012 xD shows an outlet rating of 12 VOLTS/120 WATTS.
I know there is no way to convert amps and watts. I am guessing the answer lies in what fuse protects the outlet? If so, does anyone know what size that fuse is? Or any other answer??

Thanks in advance

That is 10 amps, no? You would need about 168-170 watts at 14amp. Additionally, if it is a compressor the motor probably has a peak start-up amp that is higher. Usually you add 50%. I doubt the wiring is capable of that level of amperage. It would be super easy just to run a larger wire directly from your battery to a dedicated outlet.

Something like this

Check your owner's manual, or the fuse box. Each circuit is identified (horn, wipers, aux, etc), and the proper fuse (15 AMP, 20 AMP, etc.) for each circuit is shown as well.
You should be able to find the fuse / circuit rating for that power port there.

Find one with battery terminal clips. I have one very similar spec except clips for my off road vehicle.
