are you using RCA inputs into that amp? did you buy the line-out converter for that to work with the base stereo?

I bought the line out converter with the stock head unit. It was like 25 bucks.

Woof!

Did you put in new rear speakers too? Where'd you get the converter that cheap?

Yeah, I replaced rears door speakers too with some 6.5 inch kenwood 3 channels but didn't notice much difference. Maybe with an aftermarket head unit I would have. Now everything sounds perfect. I just didn't get enough bass in the rear before.

Afraid that would be the case (rear speakers). They're just too buried to contribute much to the front passengers. Rear passengers tell me the sound is good back there so probably won't bother with 'em. Congrats on the subwoofer. I'm considering pulling the spare out permanently (got AAA) and mounting something - probably smaller than yours - in that space. Could still carry cargo that way.

Right on, I was thinking about doing that, but I do alot of driving and would hate to be caught without my spare =[ Show us when you do it!

I am trying to wire the line-out converter, but there is like 6 connections coming off the back of the stock Pioneer deck and no wiring diagram so I have no idea which connectors are the speakers

doh, Ordered one tonight, wish I had seen that before I already bought a different Line out .

Thanks for that link, looks much easier .

The only thing I don't get, is why does it come all unwired when All you are doing is splicing all but 4 four of those wires back together (and even those 4 but with the 4 from the line out) *shrug*?

The smaller 4 wire harness is pretty much a waste. I ended up soldering and shrinking the main harness for mine,. I guess the guy just gets the different pigtails and assembles the kit with out putting too much labor into them. Glad you could use it.

Adjust the fade to +3 or 4 to the rear... Makes it so you can actually hear the back speakers too..
