Proper part #'s for aftermarket headunit install
I have searched through all six pages of ICE / Interior for the xD, and have not found what I am looking for. I am installing an aftermarket head unit this weekend, and want to confirm what parts are needed to successfully complete the upgrade. The two parts I am looking for is the stereo installation kit and the wiring harness.
The wiring harness I have found
METRA Harness part # 70-1761
The installation kit I have not. It seems most people choose to go with a DOUBLE din aftermarket head unit, but I do not want that. I am sticking with a SINGLE din replacement. I called METRA and they provided me this part number.
METRA install kit part #99-8209
I just want to confirm this is the correct install kit for a 2008-2009 xD. I am finding conflicting information saying it is only for the xA and xB(first gen). Thanks for the input guys and gals!

it's the same you should be able to fit it. I bought mine at Walmart and it's the scorche kit don't recall the kit but i listed the xA, xD, and xB together as one kit.
and for the harness it's toyota 87+ can be had at walmart for cheap too like 6 bucks or something, model number is Scosche TA02B

Hope that helps.
