Default Tint question

hey,

Haven anyone tinted their xD yet? I'm pretty sure someone must have.. hehe.. just wondering if I would need to do anything else other than just putting the tint on. Are there anything in the door that could scratch the tint?

thanks

if it would scratch the tint, it would scratch the window period, do tyou think things would be in such narrow tolerances that a window film would start scratching things?

My car window with tint tests a 37% but how dark you go doesn't matter. Don't worry about it.

yeah, if it scratches the tint it would scratch the window too.. but one is glass(strong) the other is a thin layer of polyester or some sort.. so the scratches would show in 100k miles on the glass, and in 1 mile on the film. My '06 Mustang does that, so some stuff needs to be padded.. i understand the scion is japanese, so it probably wont need things like that, but hey.. who knows..

uhm...your windows wear out over the mileage of your car...do you like roll your windows up and down for every mile you travel or something?

If you weren't lazy and had checked out the threads with pictures of our cars posted, you would see most are tinted.

drax: I love your posts

If you haven't put tint on before have a professional shop install it. Best thing to do is to check with people you know that had tint done before to see how the worksmanship is. Everyone has lifetime warranties but good product (IMO i would go 3M) is a must and install quality should be good as well.
