Default 2011 Scion xD???

The xB got a little refresh, we know about the new tC, and we know about the iQ. Is there any information on the 2011 Scion xD? I know sales of the xD have been pretty low so they may not even bother with it. Think they will at least do a "refresh" on the styling??

I heard they were going to offer a 4x4 turbodiesel, as long as you payed the import taxes and shipping.

Two models not scheduled for a refresh in 2011 are the Scion XB and the xD.

I expect the radio and paint options to change and that's it.

xb is getting changed for the 2011 model year.

the single back up light is gone, will be back into the tail lights. also, the lower body design up front and in back is re-designed a bit.

You'd see it if you were in England! The AWD turbodiesel version of the xD over there gets about 46 MPG. I wish it were as easy as paying import taxes, but the 1.4L turbodiesel that Toyota makes is not EPA tested in this country, so you wouldn't be able to import a car with one in it, no matter what you offered to pay. You could import the engine for "off road" use and install it in the car, but you'd need the wiring harness and all of the necessary electronics and any other parts that are different.

The AWD version has a lot of differences. The rear seats are different because of the space that the rear drive train takes up.

By the way, Toyota supplies the same 1.4L turbodiesel for the Mini Cooper 1D.

xD will probably be killed after 2011. If Scion wants the xB to survive they better restore it to the bB next redesign. If they want the brand to be a success they'll badge the FT-86 Scion too, otherwise the brand will be as exciting as stale bread to the "young" market that they continue to aim for.

The xd is a great car and in most tests better than the competition(fit, versa, and all that american BS) but they need to redesign the front end and make it less fugly. They should just bring the urban cruiser to america and stick a scion badge on it.

something funny (for me anyways) i think that the xd is the best looking out of the urban cruiser and ist, although the only real life picks i've seen so far of urban cruisers have had ugly black plastic along the bottom and around the wheel arches.

Honestly I prefer the xD's look over the xB and the tC (pre 2010). Can't wait to see the iQ in person though. They probably need to redesign the inside for the xD to make it more attractive to new car buyers. In all honesty I just want more after market options for the xD.

I’m glad there is a topic on this, I have been wondering if they are going to do a face lift on the xD.
They are doing one for the xB, why not the xD.
But, the xB is already out at the dealers, so I think they would have leaked some info by now if they were going to anything new with the xD.
And speaking of, Where is the info on the RS3!
I’m starting to get the felling Toyota is not giving much of a crap about the xD.

RS3 is going to be a brown color. I think coffee/mocha brown? not exactly sure yet, as i haven't gotten full confirmation. just what i have heard from the many corporate connections i know.

The RS 8.0 xB is going to be almost the same blue as the RS 6.0 tC.
