Question Anyone know how to make the 12 volt plug always run hot in an xD?

I hate the fact I need to have my key at least turned to accessory so my 12 volt plug runs hot in my xD. During long shifts I will just leave my phone in my car and let it recharge but I can't exactly just leave my keys in the car now. How can I go about bypassing this so my 12 volt plug is always hot?

Add your own. There are plug kits you can buy at auto parts stores. Then find a open hot terminal in the fuse block or run a wire off the battery. Be sure to add an inline fuse.

Yeah, I ran a line back from the fuse box to the trunk area and installed a plug there. There's a good place to tap power in the fuse box behind the tip out tray.

I ran a switch from an always hot point, to the power socket. That way, I can turn on the switch and have the power outlet hot without having the key on, and if I turn off the sitch, it is like stock, no power with key off. Just a short run, maybe 2 feet of wire, and really, quite simple.
