Just saw my first 09 on the lot in Black Sand Pearl. We were going to put a Five Axis lip kit on it, but it sold before they made the repair order LOL!

So, officially, the 09 xD is available. To make sure, check the VIN

Just a generic example. The number before the J being a 8 would be a 2008. A 9 would be a 2009. Just in case a dealer tries to pull a fast one (as seen in the other thread).

dealer told me... they'll start production in October.. in which ill have to pre-order and wait another 4-6 weeks on top of that...

are you on the east coast lost? There was a shortage out here last month because of the trucker's strike and a bunch of the 08's got backed up at port. The dealer is probably trying to sell off the 08s before the 09s start rolling in.

Finally saw an '09 listed on the local dealerships website last Wed. and by Thurs. it had disappeared. On Friday a friend told me he'd seen that same car in the dealerships "booth" at the Monroe Fairgrounds on Thursday.

 

I got the new 2009 on Thursday and I LOVE it! Seems like everything is the same as the 2008!

They put a pinstripe on it and I made them take it off.

Pinstripe? LOL those only look good on the MINI Coopers. On Scions, the pinstripe makes the car look like a skunk.

Not to mention the pinstripe was GOLD!! I was aggrevated. lol I ordered the car. It's not like I just picked it off the lot. I asked them.... Did I ask you to put that on there? Then why would you! Then I proceeded to tell them that they were going to take it off and I was NOT paying for it b/c I did not ask them to put it on there. lol They sales guy said, well you can just peel it off. I'll be damned if I was going to peel it off and then something happen to the paint and they not fix it.

 

Ugh. You ordered that car, so they should have given it to you EXACTLY like you ordered it, no more no less.

 

Yeah, then they wrote up the paper and it was $200 more than the 2008. I told them, ummmm no. It is only suppose to be $100 more. It took them 20 minutes to figure out that they had put the floor mats in with out asking me and charged me for them. I made them take them out and take them off. I know I am a woman, but come on. I still know what's going on. lol
I can buy the floor mats after market for cheaper. BUT I just bought some for $20 for now. lol

 

Now that's some low-down stealership behavior. Did you check the VIN to make sure its actually an 09?

Yes, the # before the J is 9 and is the same as the generic that was posted in the beginning post, well......the numbers are different of course. lol
