Curb rash/scrape
Heeeeeeeey guys!
I'm sure you can guess where this is going.
I had to park on the street in front of my dad's house due to a full driveway, so when I was pulling up next to the curb, I slightly scraped the bottom of the DAMD front lip (right corner). I failed to remember it was lowered and jutted out a bit farther than I was accustomed to D:
so basically it is about 1/4 of an inch wide scrape. took off the paint and slightly gouged the plastic (not too deep). It is about 2 inches long and directly under the lip, so it is hard to see (of course I see it).
My bottle of hot lava touch up paint finally came into the dealer so I was wondering if you think I could sand out the roughness and apply touchup over this small scrape? or is it too big?
I know it is probably going to happen again...but It just bugs me. As my dad said, "the first one is always the worst" : [
thanks

I've never been comfortable with bottled paint, will never look the same. It would honestly stand out more to me then the scrape lol I have the same scrap on the lip except opposite side (Poland Spring truck blocked me in and I had to back out of a parellel parking space - Fail) Never bothered fixing it cause most people wont notice it unless they look for it. Just going to wait until something worse happens or if I get body work done to get it touched up.
ok...I've never tried using bottled paint so I guess it isn't very good except for small chips.
Thanks for the input. It really is almost impossible to see anyway (underside of the car lol...they'd have to bend down to see it : P)
So if something REALLY bad happens to a DAMD panel, like a huge hole or crack, can they be replaced? It is special edition...so maybe not..? That would suck : [
