theres a really good write up on the xA forums, however i'll tell you right now that this purchase is more for looks than anything. a ground wire kit will give you minimal efficiency, especially when you're using it on a stock car with absolutely no mods. this wouldn't be considered a performance mod as it would be a mod for those with sound systems. regardless of what it says or what you read on any company selling these, you feel no difference...our cars are very well grounded already. if you think theres something that ISNT well grounded, then if it makes you feel better, go ahead and ground it, but. it honestly won't be anything worth your while.
just my two cents...
just my two cents...
I have a grounding kit on my car, it actually helps a lot since the throttle and steering are all electronic powered. You basically have the main ground leading from the battery to somewhere on the chassis, then lead the set of wires to the engine, transmission and then back to another ground on the chassis. I have the Hot InaZma set and went from the drivers fender for the main ground, then to the valve cover, the throttle body, the tranny, intake manifold, other side of the valve cover, then to the passenger side chassis. Makes the lights brighter and steering is more responsive, the car also goes into gear a little faster. I also have a voltage stabilizer from the same company which attributes to the above. Thats just my opinion though.
yeah its different for everyone..i think its a 50-50 even. people say it does nothing, others say it does. im not going to dispute waht youre saying, i just happen to think that it's not too affective. maybe ill try it out some day though? theyre not too expensive after all.
Well I bought a well known brand, I'm a little skeptical on eBay brands
Mine came out to $180 for the Ground and Volt Stabilizer. Typical cars aren't really going to see results , ours and Yaris' are different due to the e-throttle and e-steering
Its not really much of a power booster as eBay vendors are going to say, but it'll help a lot with responsiveness and efficency

i know its not gonna give me a hp gain i want it for that little edge it gives plus i do alot of car shows and this will dress the engin up a lil. i did a custom paint job on my engin cover already ill post pics if anyone is intrested in checkin it out. i think its pretty sweet.
airwolf racing. its an ebay company so they might sell for someone else. idk.
i would really like to see pics of zefoxe's install on his xd. i just want to know where to ground them to cause i think it might be a lil diffrent than the write up in the tech with this kit.

there's actually a great ground kit write up on the yarisworld forums. i'll post the link here. we have same engine, so the same ground points will work, (it's, from what i've read, really up to where you choose to ground

hope that helps a little

Upgrading the "Big 3" is enough for most conditions.
Adding to and/or replacing these connections with a thicker one is usually sufficient.
1) alternator positive to battery positive
2) battery negative to chassis
3) engine ground to chassis

Buddy,
I am very sorry to tell you this, but this mod is worthless. You will find that there is NO scientific proof anywhere that supports this gimmick. You bought yourself a little extra weight - that's all. Others may disagree, but I ask ANYONE who would like to support this technology to show an UNBIASED technical report proving ANY benefit from additional grounding.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but there are SO many BS mods out there - I sometimes have a hard time keeping my mouth shut.
Ask Pickledchang.

The guide plate issue is just friendly advice.
The pulley thing, yeah - they are as worthless as this grounding cord!

well ima go with everyone else on this one cause i rather run off of feeling. if it feels good to drive then i know there is a diffrence some where. thanks for the concern though.
also im gonna look at the glass half full buddy, and if nothing gets pulled out of this, i didn't buy extra weight but a dress-up kit for my engin.
