Default Electric power steering - might be moddable

One of the dislikes that I have with the xD is over-boosted power steering. I drove a 350Z for a while and xD steering feels like a Buick compared to the Z. It actually feels like a Buick compared to the xA... Maybe for a 90lbs girl it will feel ok, but I need it to feel heavier than it is right now.

I glanced through the service manual and didn't find anything regarding the adjustments, but I found an article that describes similar mod to a Prius...

Looks like it's time to go to RadioShack.

With VWs, the dealer will adjust the level of assist for owners. They just enter a number into the computer, from 0 to 10 I think. Something similar might be possible here.

I'll definitely talk to the service adviser at the dealer about it, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up...

Talked to the techs - nothing in the service manual that they could find. Sucks.
