Default End of my xD's journey

So I spent Tuesday night and Wednesday morning reverting everything to stock. Sold it yesterday. Just bought a house so looking to rebudget everything and unfortunately the xD just didnt really fit into that budget at roughly 500/mo of my finances.

It really was a blast and had lots of good times and bad times with the car. All the parts that I pulled off are up for sale (will be making a FS thread in the classifieds section later when I'm off of work but if theres something you're interested in before the ads go up just PM me), including the 17x9.5 corvette c4 wheels w/ adapters & tires, strup exhaust, k-sport coilover suspension, NRG steering wheel hub/quick release.

I'll be checking in here and there to throw in my knowledge/.02, was a blast hangin with everybody that I was able to meet through meets, local clubs, etc.

I kinda dabbled with selling it private, really didnt generate a lot of interest, so i swung over by carmax, they offered me 8500 for mine even though it had frame damage from one of the accidents :/, and i owed 9 on it, so i just bit the 500$ bullet to be done with it and not have to worry about going through all the mess of a private sale.

Oh did i? I had an 09 with 60000 miles that was in 2 moderate to serious acidents. Carfax pretty much made people meh. All trade in options at dealers were between 8-10k and required me to buy something on their lot. I was able to get out of 3 years of notes for 500 bucks. Im fine with that. Nice go at trying to be a dickhole though

I think you made out pretty well at Carmax. When you say it was costing you $500 a month, you must be including a lot of gas and/or high insurance, yeah? Doesn't seem like your payment could have been very high, given that you still owed $9,000. I only financed my xD for three years, and at $398 a month, I only owe about $2,700 on it now. I'll be free and clear by January! Woohoo!

I'm torn, though... I kinda want to trade it in on a Subie... but I could also do without a $398 payment every month for a while. Then again... the longer I keep it, the more miles it has, and the less it is worth. I figure it will have about 75,000 miles on it this winter when it is paid off. Decisions, decisions. My wife thinks I'm crazy... she's never owned a new car. Her current ride is a 2000 Civic with about 140,000 miles on it. She's still got a few car payments to go, too!

I'm rambling...

Good luck with your new house and whatever car you choose. Do you live close enough to work that you could use a scooter? Cheap to buy and cheap to gas up!

yea that was including insurance which mine isnt all that good since i had those 2 accidents, for a while i was paying close to 300/mo just in insurance and noone else would write me. but for the past couple months i was paying 140/mo and my note was close to 312/mo. im actually looking at subies right now. trying to locate a 97-01 impreza/legacy RS, so far no luck. though i did find an impreza awd L model 5spd a couple hours away.

and yelo, sorry but i never could get the camber shims, i tried but the guy at realcamber denied me, basically told me i wouldnt be able to get them til they were up on his site, which they still arent.

haha yea that was me. i was running the BBS meshes at that time.

most of the goods are already gone, pretty much all I have left is the wheels, adapters, TRD oilcap/radiator cap, and my alpine pdx 1.1000 amplifier

If you're interested in the wheels lemme know, i'll cut you a mega deal on them since your semi local.
