Default floor mats & seat covers

Can anybody recommend some good places (on-line) to get seat covers and floor mats (don't like carpet ones)?

Thanks, katch!

I'm stunned there have been no other responses with links or suggestions to peoples favorite mats & seat covers. Very strange! Maybe there's nothing out there worth recommending.

Need mats that can handle dirty/muddy feet on a regular basis, so guess I'll just continue my search.

actually, this might be what you are looking for:

never ordered anything from them though, so not sure how well the fitment would be. added them to my cart and it looks like they are xD specific.

For some, the super cheap ones might be a good option. But, due to the mud/wet/leaves/barn junk stuck to shoes/boots, I was considering the ones that are like trays.

kudos to pickledchang, that's a super find!

I just put in the old generic floor mats I had from Pepboys in my old car, they don't fit perfectly so they slid up a bit and get in the way of the clutch, but it's nothing i can't live with.

I also prefer a set of decent rubber mats - I've gotten good deals at Autozone and Sears (where they seem to be on sale frequently). I had to trim them a bit to fit, but they still function like a "tray" because the trimmed parts are "uphill".

One note - be sure your driver's side mat is somehow attached to the floor (we have nice little grommets for that) so it doesn't slide forward. After buying my Vibe a few years ago, I got new rubber floor mats. A day or so later, the car wouldn't start - push-started it and drove it to the dealership (still under warranty). They informed me that the floor mat had slid forward, preventing the clutch from engaging all the way, which prevented the engine from starting. That "repair" wasn't covered by the warranty - I sheepishly paid the $35 and haven't made the same mistake since!

So anyway, check Sears or a local auto parts store for rubber mats, and don't forget to secure them somehow.

I second Sam's Club. I bought mine for $20 and they are a heavy rubber. I am loving them now that winter is here, and will love them in the spring when it rains like crazy!

I also got a set from there. $20 for a set of 4. They hold a lot of water and it doesn't roll onto the carpet.

However, like the previous person posted about the Vibe not starting, I was noticing the same with the Xd. I rearranged the mat and now the clutch will go all the way to the floor and the car starts fine.

I've always used the ones at Sam's in my cars during the winter. They don't have that stinky plastic/vinyl smell that some do, especially once they get warm with heat blowing on them.

This, but all you have to do is press down on the clutch extra hard when starting and putting it into reverse.

It's not $500 for the covers.

They fit like a glove over the stock upholstery. I'd so get a set but I can't afford them anymore

And I do believe thats SexRS1 herself in that avatar. Try not to be so crude next time.

Eeep, my apologies. I wasn't trying to offend - just appreciate. I guess that being her puts me into the creepy category though. After reading your comment I actually looked alot more closely at them and they do look awesome, but I don't think I can afford that so I'll stick with my 20 dollar floor mats :-P
