Default Front speakers

Okay so my D is only 2 years old, and I don't really play my music all that loud ( I am more of a Billy Joel / U2 fan more than loud bass-y music)...

I changed the SSP (click and hold) to the xD on the pioneer system which is all stock, but when it is in anything (neutral, hear, feel) the right door's speaker seems to be rattling? But when I hold the door and apply pressure, the noise stops. It only plays during songs with loud bass...

Anyone know what's going on or how I can fix it? It sounds like the whole door is rattling when the bass plays...

Thank you!!

same issue! at some point i was going to take off my door panel and see if i could find the culprit, but really hope someone's got it figured out already. it's gotten to the point where i cant turn it up loud enough, or to drown it out it has to be too loud.

All scions have rattles, and they only get worse when you start taking them apart. I used plenty of foam tape on any areas on the door I thought might rattle when I changed out the door speakers.

This is on all of them if you look down in the cup holder thing on the door you will notice that inside there it is two pieces to make that hole in the door and those two pieces rattle together and sound almost like a bad speaker if you put some kind of foam or weather strip in there it fix's the problem

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I had some left over heavy duty tape and found what you were talking about. After putting the tape down...no vibration! Thanks a TON!

ThisorThatxD....do exactly what mixD says...I just did it and it works! Plus it's much easier than taking the door panel off lol

planned on it already but it's already dark so i have to wait. so glad to know an easy fix tho.

and yes, all scions do rattle. being held together with clips will certainly spawn those, but d@mn is it the most annoying of rattles.

i have this issue as well as the the mid-bass and tweeter tend to break up altogether. I don't beat on a stock system either. I might have a bad channel on the radio along with the rattles. Mine is random. same song doesn't always make vibration

good idea, I never used the holders since I got the car. I just packed it with some old rags to keep the rattle down.
