Default Help!!! Speedo and stereo lights won't run on with headlights

Like the title says, my speedometer lights and stereo lights turn on when my headlights are off, but as soon as I turn on the headlights, the stereo/speedo lights shut off. I tried shutting off the engine, taking the key out and restarting. Can't figure it out and Id rather not pay a dealer to fix it. Any ideas?

it may sound really stupid, but did you double check the dimmer switch on the dash? i havent been around my car in like 6 months so i cant remember if you can dim it all the way, but i would check that first.

Not sure how much like the 1st gen tC they are, but I had the same problem with my tC. It was a blown fuse under the dash, not under the hood.

Yeah definitely check all your fuses before you bring your car into the dealership. From what I remember the ones under the hood is a lot more accessible over the ones under the steering wheel. Good luck with your issue though and keep us posted!
