Default How hard is it to install a Rear Spoiler?

The most advanced thing I have done to a car is change the Head Unit.. lol. I have never done a thing to the body of a car.

I just bought the spoiler but I am afraid I am going to mess something up. So how hard is it to do?

The dealer wants like $200 to install this thing.

it's as easy as taking the stock one off.

do you have tools and a brain? that's about all you need.

Quite easy. A lot easier than installing a head unit

Would it be a bad idea to get a cheap ebay one (like 100$) or just get the TRD one for 220$?

They say it comes pre painted... issue is the one I found on ebay does not come predrilled... I am afraid of doing it myself... Anyone know if this site will send it predrilled?

I got mine on Ebay $110 painted, here is a link to the seller post, I love it! It was painted, matched fine, predrilled, gasket and 4 bolts. It is Ez to take the old one off only four bolts. When I installed on the car I had a friend help me. It is too awkward to put it on by yourself. All of the holes lined up fine i needed to stretch 2 of the holes in the middle of the hatch/ car- not much probably a millimeteror two hole stretch. I then primed the holes (don’t want any rust issues). It has been on my car for months no issues. The do-it-yourself install idea looks intimidating at first but it was very easy to do. In the end I was upset that I waited over a year before I actually ordered one.

One of my friends got a color-matched E-bay special for $110 shipped. The holes were a little off, so he took a dremel to them to widen it out a little. Took the old one off and 2 of us held the new one on while he screwed it in. Don't screw the first one in all the way. Screw it in a bit to hold it on, then alternate. He got a really snug fit that way.

But yeah, it wasn't hard. It was nice to have a couple extra people there though to hold it down nice n' tight.
