Default how to remove engine maintnance LIGHT!

so i did my own oil change on my xd... but i cant seem to remove the ENGINE maintnance from the dash.. i try to follow the manual book and still no luck.... can some one please show me with pics or tell me by steps on how to remove this annoying light.... thanks


and im sorry if this post is out there already ,.. i already did the search box on this and i look around to see if there was a post.. but no i couldt find a post on removing the light

This is how it works for the tC and most other Toyotas I believe. Haven't confirmed this on an xD... but should work.

Make sure your ODO is selected in the display.
Turn the key off.
Hold down the Menu button and turn the key to the ON position.
You should see something like " - - - - - " appear and start blinking then the dashes will start to go away.
When they're all gone, release the button.

The "Maintenance Required" light is shut off this way on the xD as well. Remember that you should not start the car to get this to work, just turn the key past ACC (accessory) mode.

Most Toyotas and Lexuses use this method, but a few (LS 460, ES 350) require that the trip computer be set to "Trip A", for some reason.

The owners manual is wrong. I think they say to go to ODO, but you need to go to TripA.

yeah the manual is kinda wrong.. i follow that and it did nothing.... ill try to do the same as the tc.. i know how the tc works cux i own one too... but the xd is kinda different... what i also did not like about the xd .. is the oil filter so wierd and that plastic cap is not cool it can easily break..
